Unbroken

Louie zamperini was an olympic runner in 1936. World war 2 broke out and louie enlisted in the military to serve in the war. His plane crashes during a mission which leaves louie and his comrades stranded over sea for 47 days. One of his comrades end up dying at sea and that leaves louie with just one more comrade.Louie and his comrade comes across a Japanese naval ship and is captured. Louie and his comrade are sent to a labor camp where they are forced to do very harsh labor. The commander of the prison targets louie and wants to break his will and spirit. Louie finds out his comrade died in the camp, Louie is transferred to another camp. The commander of the prison told louie to pick up a heavy metal and hold it over his head and if he drops it he would be killed. Just in time before they were gonna kill everyone at the camp the Japanese has just surrendered thus letting every american and louie go back to the u.s.
